bio

I grew up in a working class neighborhood of Minneapolis, cutting my musical teeth playing Elmore James songs while still in high school.

Those early influential nights were often spent playing guitar in my parents' dark basement, along with used albums by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Crosby Stills & Nash.

Since fleeing Minnesota winters at age 17, I have slept around, living in Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

I now live in downtown Seattle.
